Does the PDF keep my document's exact layout?

Yes. The .docx is rendered the way Word lays it out, then each page is captured and placed on a PDF page of the same size, so fonts, spacing, tables, images and line breaks all land where you put them.

Is the text in the PDF selectable and searchable?

Yes. An invisible text layer is written over each page at the same positions as the visible words, so you can select, copy and search the PDF — and so can Google — while the page still looks exactly like your document.

My long document used to come out as one enormous page. Is that fixed?

Yes, and that was a real bug. The renderer only splits pages where the .docx has an explicit page break, so a document that relied on Word's automatic pagination arrived as one very long section. Pages are now measured against the document's real page size and split at exactly that height, so every PDF page matches your paper size and nothing runs off the bottom.

Is my document uploaded to a server?
